Thrust Bearing Replacement

1. Release cable tension from PowerTrak by lowering curtain completely.

2. Disconnect electrical power to the PowerTrak.

3. Once power has been disconnected, open and remove the side swinging door.

4. Disconnect both quick connects at the bottom of the machine. The large connector is for the

limit switches, and the small connector is for the motor.

5. Remove the four bolts that hold the bottom of the machine in place.

6. Slide out the bottom assembly.

7. Remove the bolts which hold the motor in place. Remove motor through bottom of machine.

(Note: Be careful when moving motor past limit switches.)

8. Loosen the set screw holding the Delrin bushing in place.

9. Loosen the two set screws in upper radial bearing.

10. Back the main screw completely out of the upper radial bearing and load block by turning

the coupling counter-clockwise.

11. Pull main screw from the machine.

12. Remove the four bolts which hold the bearing and retainer plate in place.

13. Install new bearing so that the side that turns is towards the bottom of the machine.

14. Install new retainer plate. Be sure grease fitting is toward the front of machine.

15. Replace the bolts that hold retainer plate and bearing in place.

16. Replace main screw and thread back into thrust bearing, delrin bushing, load nut, and upper

radial bearing. (In that order)

17. Tighten the two set screws in the upper radial bearing.

18. Run the delrin bushing down the screw until it is snug. Tighten the set screw to lock it in

place.

19. Replace motor with same bolts through the same holes. (Note: Make sure the plastic spacer

is in place between the two coupling ends.

20. Slide bottom plate back into the machine, and secure with the four bolts.

21. Reconnect both the motor and limit switches into the circuit board with the quick connects.

22. Use a grease gun to fill the new bearing with grease.

23. Apply power to the PowerTrak.

24. Run PowerTrak open and shut a few times to check for proper operation. (Check that new

bearing is turning, no strange noises, etc.

25. Readjust curtain with PowerTrak.
